This before-and-after transformation shows the construction of a modern walk-in shower, beginning with waterproofing and surface preparation and progressing to a professionally tiled shower enclosure.
This bathroom renovation project involved converting an unfinished shower area into a modern, custom walk-in shower. The work began with careful substrate preparation, waterproofing membrane installation, moisture protection and preparation of the shower walls, floor, curb and recessed storage niche. Large-format stone-look porcelain tiles were then installed across the shower walls and bathroom floor to create a bright, spacious and contemporary appearance. The tile layout was carefully planned to maintain balanced grout lines and a consistent visual flow throughout the space. The completed shower includes a custom recessed niche with dark trim, a tiled shower base properly sloped toward the centre drain, a raised shower curb with a contrasting dark threshold and clean edge finishing. The shower plumbing openings and ceiling fixtures were also accurately accommodated during installation.
